The Waste & Minerals Core Strategy
The Core Strategy will set out the overarching strategic and broad spatial planning policies concerning waste management and minerals production in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove to 2026.
The Core Strategy will also include areas of search for waste management. These are broad areas which give a steer as to where strategic waste management developments should be located.
Issues and Options
Formal consultation on the Issues and Options associated with the Core Strategy was held during February and April 2008. The Councils have now considered the responses from the Issues and Options consultation, carried out a number of background studies and met with key stakeholders. Together these processes have informed the selection of preferred options which are presented in the Preferred Strategy draft of the Waste & Minerals Core Strategy.
